Giving Back to the Community - Advantage Heating

Recently, one of our DCPs, Advantage Heating & Air Conditioning, held a special event at their office where they spotlighted the First Responders in their area. Learn how they used their accrual funds to create a program that involved customers who purchased Daikin equipment this summer in support of their area's first responders.

Advantage came up with a great idea for a program that would benefit the first responders in their area. Danny Somers, owner of Advantage, and his Advantage team collected funding from every Daikin unit they installed this summer to benefit the first responders in Keizer and Salem, Oregon. They also involved their customers by asking for donations for the cause. With the generous support of their customers, Daikin, and distributor, Thermal Supply, they were able to raise and deliver a $28,550 check that will be split between the police department and firefighters in both cities. These funds will go towards important resources and training such as CPR training, defibrillator dquipment, Police Action Simulator systems, and more!

The event was attended by the mayor of Salem, fire and police chiefs, and on/off-duty police officers and firefighters. They also hosted many Daikin customers as a way of saying 'Thank You' for their donations. Daikin attendees included J R de la Cruz, Len Crawford, and Paul Daugherty. Daikin distributor, Thermal Supply, also had representatives attend the cause for celebration.

This event demonstrates and edifies the 'Daikin Difference', not just the commitment to products, business channels, and DCPs, but also for Daikin's involvement and support of the communities around us.

Finally, a big 'Thank You' to the leadership and the entire Advantage team for their community involvement and successful charitable program creativity that can be viewed and shared as a best practice by other DCP contractors.
