Over-The-Air (OTA) Software Update (v1.9.5) for the Daikin One+ Smart Thermostat

We're excited to announce an Over-The-Air (OTA) software update (v1.9.5) for the Daikin One+ smart thermostat (part # DTST-CWBSA-NI-A).

This software update includes the following features and improvements: 
• A large font option that makes the thermostat screen easier to read

• Spanish language support for installers and homeowners that prefer the Spanish language

• A soft reboot button making it easier for installers to cycle power on the thermostat when needed 

The software update (v1.9.5) also allows support for the new Ultra Low-NOx furnace model families: 
Ultra Low-NOx Furnace Model Families  DM80SC-U and DM96SC-U 
 
This OTA update will be automatically downloaded to all Daikin One+ smart thermostats that are connected to the internet.  If no internet connection is available, a temporary Wi-Fi hotspot is sufficient for downloading the software update.  We recommend that all Daikin One+ smart thermostats always be connected to the internet in order to receive the latest software updates as they become available. 

Additional Information - Homeowner Communication 
An email will be sent to all Daikin One+ smart thermostat homeowners soon. The following is exactly what the homeowners will receive. In addition to the new software features listed above, we are also communicating to homeowners that Daikin Home Air Quality Monitor is available. This will provide new lead generation for Daikin Comfort Pro dealers.

Daikin recently updated the software on your Daikin One+ smart thermostat. New updates will help maintain your comfort zone, improve air quality, and help control your energy usage. 
 
Version 1.9.5 introduces several new features:

• Support for the new Daikin One home air monitor

• Large font option

• Spanish language support

• Ability to restart thermostat 
 
Your Daikin One+ smart thermostat automatically updates if it is connected to your Wi-Fi with an internet connection. If you do not see the new features, restart the thermostat to install the update. For assistance, dial 1-855-DAIKIN1, and select option 1. 
 

Introducing the  Daikin One Home Air Monitor 
 
The Daikin One home air monitor helps monitor the air quality within the whole home. Working with your Daikin One+ smart thermostat, it detects, visualizes, and supports action to help you improve the indoor air quality. 

 Note: Enabling the air quality monitoring feature requires the purchase of one or more Daikin One home air monitors.

Large Font Option
To enable, do the following:
1. Open the settings by tapping the menu item in the top right and select “settings.”
2. Navigate to display settings.
3. Enable the “use large font” checkbox. 

Spanish Language Support

To choose a language do the following:
1. Open the settings by tapping the menu item in the top right and select “settings.”
2. Navigate to language settings: display > language.
3. Select "español.” 

Ability to Restart Thermostat
To restart the thermostat, do the following:
1. Open the settings by tapping the menu item in the top right and select “settings.”
2. Navigate to system settings:     configuration > system components > thermostat.
3. Select "restart thermostat."
