New Daikin Fit Heat Pumps and Air Handlers

We're pleased to announce the new Daikin Fit DZ17VSA heat pump outdoor units and DVFEX single piece air handlers.

The DZ17VSA and DVFEC models are now available for pre-order and shipments beginning early January on a first come frist serve basis. Please submit to your Daikin order specialist separate, standalone orders of the new units with distinguishedmodel numbers, to help facilitate allocation of shipments.

Additional Features for the Daikin Fit Heat Pump

• Intelligent Defrost Mode - Stays in defrost only as much as it needs to (efficient operation)
• Advanced water-shedding drain pan - Engineered with multiple drain holes and channels providing effective water shedding

The new Daikin Fit heat pump models are matched with a new family of Daikin air handlers. The DVFEC air handlers are similar to the DVPEC air handlers in that they have electronic expansion valves (EEV) for precise refrigerant management, but are designed with 7mm diameter evaporator coil tubing, new fine design for enhanced heat transfer properties, and refrigerant volume ratio compared to standard 3/8" diameter evaporator coil tubing. Standard electric heat options available (3-25 kW depending on model). Only the DVFEC air handlers can be matched with the Daikin Fit heat pump.

Modular Blowers (MBVC) and dual fuel match capabilities will also be available. At the time of launch, 1.5 to 3.0-ton models will be offered in dual fuel with upflow/downflow coils. The matchups will be similar to the ones that are currenty available with Daikin Fit air conditioning models. The remaining dual fuel models (all horizontal and 3.5 to 5-ton upflow/downflow) will begin phased introductions starting fall of 2020.

The new Daikin Fit heat pump systems can be controlled with the Daikin One+ smart thermostat or the CTK04 ComfortNet communicating thermostat.

Daikin Fit heat pump systems have cooling efficiency ratings up to 18 SEER and heating efficiency ratings up to 10.0 HSPF. All Daikin Fit system ratings will be avialable in AHRI by December 01, 2019.

The new DZ17VSA heat pumps are backed by a 12-year unit replacement limited warranty and 12-year parts limited warranty. The new DVFEC handlers are backed by a 12-year parts limited warranty.*
